Technical Ceramics – Manufacturing and Production
The Manufacturing Process of High-Performance Ceramics
POWDER
Precision begins with the raw material.
The performance of modern technical ceramics doesn't start in the kiln, but much earlier: with ultra-fine, high-purity powders. They form the foundation for every subsequent step.
MATERIAL PREPARATION
Homogeneity is the key to performance. We mix, granulate, and condition raw materials to achieve the perfect green density and optimal processability for the forming stage.
TOOLMAKING & DESIGN
From CAD to the finished mold. Our in-house toolmaking department guarantees maximum quality and dimensional accuracy. This allows us to produce even the most complex ceramic components with absolute precision.
FORMING
From powder to precision part. Using state-of-the-art processes such as dry pressing, extrusion, or injection molding, we realize complex geometries with the highest degree of repeatable accuracy.
GREEN MACHINING
In the "green" state, the component is still easily machinable. We use mechanical processes to achieve the final geometry and intricate details before the sintering process begins.
SINTERING
At temperatures up to 1750°C, the component is densified. The powder particles fuse together, creating the characteristic hardness, density, and immense strength of technical ceramics.
FINISHING & ASSEMBLY
Through grinding, lapping, and polishing, we achieve the tightest tolerances. Glazing optimizes electrical properties, while ceramic-to-metal bonding significantly expands the range of possible applications.
QUALITY ASSURANCE
Every step is controlled – from powder analysis to the final inspection. With crack detection, density measurement, and hardness testing, we guarantee maximum reliability for your application.
